Current answer

Global is on Version 1.8; Preliminary balance is not the live game.

The latest official Global patch history includes fixes dated July 9, 2026. It opens Training Terrace - Preliminaryas a pre-season test. The July 11 Dev AMA says the official balance patch is expected with the next version update, so do not rebuild around Preliminary numbers yet.

Six checks

Use this order before trusting any route, build, code, or event page.

  1. 01

    Match the game region

Global, CN, and HMT can have different content, names, balance, events, and release dates. If a page does not name its region, do not use it for spending or account decisions.

  2. 02

Find the publication and update dates

Use the article's most recent checked date, not only its original publish date. A route can stay useful while its rewards, prices, event window, or build advice expires.

  3. 03

    Compare the patch version

Global is on Version 1.8 at this check. A CN version number is not a preview date, and a matching feature name does not prove matching balance values.

  4. 04

    Separate live, test, and announced

Training Terrace - Preliminary is a test environment. The July 11 AMA says the official balance patch is expected with the next version, so Preliminary behavior is not yet live balance advice.

  5. 05

Check the live client before acting

For a code, event, shop, reward, cost, quest trigger, or coordinate, verify the current in-game screen. The client settles availability better than an undated repost.

  6. 06

Use only the part that still matches

An old guide can still explain a puzzle or route while its reward and build claims are stale. Keep the useful step and discard the expired promise instead of accepting or rejecting the whole page.

The source type tells you what must be checked next.

What you foundVerdictWhat to do
Official Global patch noteUse with dateApply the documented change and keep its patch date visible. Recheck if a newer note touches the same system.
Official AMA or roadmapAnnounced, not liveUse it to explain what is planned. Do not change a build or route until the promised update actually lands.
Preliminary or test environmentTest onlyDiscuss the experiment separately from the live game. Numbers and mechanics can change before release.
CN or HMT guideCross-checkUse names, ideas, and route clues only after matching them to Global UI, an official Global note, or a current Global reference.
Redeem code or timed eventVerify live windowRequire region, start time, expiry, redemption path, and current client or official notice. An old code list is not an active-code list.
Build, tier list, or rotationCheck mode and patchMatch the current Path, weapon, Inner Ways, game mode, and balance date before spending materials or replacing a working loadout.
Map route or quest triggerCheck stateConfirm region, map layer, story state, time, nearby landmark, and current objective. Coordinates alone do not prove access.

Stale advice fixes

Keep the useful part of an old guide and remove the expired promise.

A list says every code is active

Find the official announcement and expiry. If either is missing, test privately before publishing or promising rewards.

A tier list has no game mode

Treat it as incomplete. Arena, Guild, raid, and solo progression can reward different defensive, control, healing, and burst choices.

A CN video shows a system Global lacks

Keep it as future context. Do not invent a Global release date from the CN upload date or version number.

The route is right but the NPC is missing

Check patch, region, story state, time, and map layer. The route may be valid while its trigger prerequisite changed or was omitted.

A test server number looks stronger

Do not rebuild around Preliminary data. Wait for the official live patch and then compare the final value in the client.

An old event page still ranks in search

Use it only for the event's rules or history. Current availability needs a new official notice or a live event screen.

What is the current Global version of Where Winds Meet?

Global remains on Version 1.8 at the July 13, 2026 check. The current official patch history includes July 9 fixes and the Training Terrace - Preliminary test environment.

Are Training Terrace - Preliminary balance changes live?

No. Preliminary is a test environment. The July 11 Dev AMA says its data and feedback will inform an official balance patch expected with the next version update.

Can I use a CN guide on the Global version?

Use it as a route or terminology lead, then verify the Global name, version, UI, rewards, costs, and availability. Do not copy CN balance, event, shop, or account instructions directly.

How do I know whether a redeem code is active?

Require an official or directly tested source, Global region, publication date, expiry, redemption path, and current result. The official WWMQC1-WWMQC30 batch expired May 31, 2026.

Does an old guide become useless after a patch?

Not necessarily. Puzzle logic, landmarks, and route order can survive while reward values, skill balance, event windows, shop prices, and UI names become stale. Reuse only the parts that still match.
