Identify the account that owns your real character

Write down the platform, login method, character name, server region, and Player ID before opening the game elsewhere.

Keep the destination platform empty

If you are carrying an existing save over, do not create a character on the new platform before linking.

Open Link Account

On Steam, Epic, and PS5, use Settings → Other → User Center → Link Account. The official PC launcher also exposes User Center from the title screen.

Choose the same account and server region

Finish the platform login or binding flow, then select the server region that already contains your character.

Verify before spending or playing

Confirm the expected character, items, martial arts, and progression are present before creating anything new or making a purchase.

The game opens a new character instead of your main save

Check the login method and server region first. Do not continue progression or spend money until the expected character appears.

You already made a character on Xbox

Do not bind another account over it. The Xbox FAQ warns that this blocks normal binding to an existing account; use Account Center or support.

You need to unlink a platform

There is no manual unlink button supported by the official guide. Contact Customer Support and keep proof of account ownership ready.

A character is missing after changing region

Return to the original server region. The Xbox FAQ explicitly says character data cannot transfer between server regions.

A purchase or premium currency is missing

Verify the bound account, region, purchase platform, and receipt. Do not rebuy immediately; send the identifiers and receipt to official support.

Character region and matchmaking server are not the same thing.

July AMA clarification

A party can cross regions without moving your save.

This is an inference from two official pages: the Xbox FAQ keeps character data inside one server region, while the July AMA lets a cross-region party use the leader's chosen matchmaking node. The match can move; the character does not.

Practical consequence

Choose a party leader and server node with latency in mind. Do not use a successful cross-region match as proof that an account can be rebound or a character can be transferred.

Character server region

The data boundary that owns the character. Cross-progression applies within the same region, and characters cannot be transferred to another region.

Cross-region party

A party whose members are connecting from different regions. The July 8 AMA says this can use the party leader's selected matchmaking server.

Matchmaking server node

The server used for that match or combat instance. The party leader's selection determines the node and can affect latency.

What it does not do

Cross-region matchmaking does not merge accounts, move a character's home region, or remove the same-region rule for shared progression.
