Search the clue exactly
Type the most distinctive word from the clue. Search Current Global first. The finder also matches answers, Chinese characters, and English archive glosses, so it still helps when you remember only half of a row.

Read every possible answer
A repeated clue can point to more than one answer. The finder joins those candidates with a vertical bar. Start with the most literal noun instead of assuming the first community submission is universal.

Narrow the category
If the clue is missing, work out whether the target is an animal, plant, object, person, place, action, or allusion. When the round offers a question phase, ask one short category question at a time.

Enter the shortest canonical noun
Use the plain object or name shown in the answer pool. Avoid articles, explanations, punctuation, and a string of unrelated guesses. Exact localization can matter even when your idea is correct.

Do not build a run around the old trick of placing several candidates in one answer string. It was observed in the earlier Chinese client, but localization and input matching have changed. One clean noun is easier to correct when the game rejects it.

Remove filler words and search one distinctive noun or adjective. Then switch to CN archive if you saw the clue in Chinese, or search the answer you suspect instead of the clue.

The listed answer was rejected
Check that you are using a Current Global row, not an English gloss from the CN archive. If the clue has several candidates, use the round's extra feedback and try the next literal candidate.

My clue wording is slightly different
Search the shared keyword. Current localization can change plurality, word order, or a plant and animal label without changing the underlying answer family.

The timer ended before I answered
Keep the finder open before starting the exchange and search the rarest clue word first. A timed-out turn can be skipped, so do not spend the whole window reading the archive list.

I have a different number of attempts
Current English references report that available attempts can vary with Intelligence. Treat the displayed counter in your round as authoritative and narrow the category before spending a guess.

A long string containing several answers failed
Older Chinese-client guides reported that grouped candidate strings could sometimes pass. That is legacy behavior, not a dependable Global rule. Submit one clean answer at a time.

A copied answer still looks wrong
The copy button takes the first candidate only. Read the full row before copying when a vertical bar is present, and type the candidate that matches your round rather than pasting blindly.
