Where Winds Meet Glow of Fireflies Unlock Guide

Glow of Fireflies is the portable light for dark caves. The clean route is west of Crimson Cliffs Lake in Qinghe: find the Meow Meow beside the glowing flowers, collect five fireflies, then equip the skill from the Mystic Skills menu.

Go to Moonveil Mountain in Qinghe and search west of Crimson Cliffs Lake for a Meow Meow beside flowers filled with fireflies. Collect every glowing insect in the patch. Firefly pickups count toward the skill's proficiency wherever you find them; Glow of Fireflies unlocks when the total reaches five. Open Develop > Mystic Skills, equip it, and cast it when a cave is too dark to read.

Purpose

Portable light for 30 seconds

Completing the nearby Meow Meow objective is not what grants the skill. The sequence runs the other way around: collect the fireflies to learn Glow of Fireflies, then use that light to help with the Meow Meow. The older Gleaming Abyss recommendation is an alternate collection area, not a required dungeon clear.

Open Moonveil Mountain in Qinghe
Use the Qinghe map and move toward Crimson Cliffs Lake in the Moonveil Mountain area. This is an early outdoor collection route; you do not need to finish a boss, unlock Kaifeng, or enter a Challenge fight first.

Search west of Crimson Cliffs Lake
Look for the local Meow Meow and the nearby flower patch rather than a Mystic Skill chest. The insects appear as small points of light above and around the flowers, so inspect the plants instead of waiting for the cat to hand over a reward.

Collect every firefly in the patch
Walk through the flowers and use the interaction prompt on each firefly. A pickup contributes to the same proficiency total whether it comes from this cluster, another outdoor patch, or a cave such as Gleaming Abyss.

Continue until the total reaches five
The original 螢光暉夜 route records a cumulative requirement of five fireflies. If the first patch does not finish the meter, collect another firefly elsewhere; do not restart the Meow Meow or search for a separate scroll.

Equip and cast Glow of Fireflies
After the unlock appears, open Develop > Mystic Skills and place Glow of Fireflies in a usable slot. It is an active light, not a permanent passive: cast it inside the dark area and recast after the 30-second effect ends.

I found the Meow Meow but did not get the skill

The cat is a location landmark. Search the nearby glowing flowers and interact with the fireflies themselves. The skill is learned from the collection total, not from talking to or completing the Meow Meow.

I collected one firefly and nothing happened

One pickup is only partial progress. Continue until five fireflies have been collected in total. There is no separate quest turn-in or skill scroll at the end.

The Crimson Cliff patch did not contain enough fireflies

Use another visible flower cluster or collect the fireflies encountered in Gleaming Abyss. The route is cumulative, so the five do not need to come from one exact patch.

The cave is too dark to find the fireflies

Use the outdoor Crimson Cliffs Lake cluster first. That avoids asking the locked light skill to solve the darkness that blocks its own collection route.

Glow of Fireflies is learned but the cave is still dark

Open Mystic Skills, equip Glow of Fireflies in an available slot, then cast it. Learning the skill does not create a permanent aura, and the light ends after 30 seconds.

I cannot find 螢光暉夜 in the English skill list

Search for Glow of Fireflies. 螢光暉夜 is the Chinese source name used by the older guide; both names refer to the same five-firefly unlock.
