Find the skill by its current Global name or its Chinese title, then follow the shortest route that actually unlocks it. Each entry includes the prerequisite, the final claim step, and the mistake that most often wastes a trip.

22 current routes with Chinese and legacy-name lookup.
Important correction: 百鬼打穴手 is Ghost Bind in Global English. Touch of Death is the assassination skill tied to 淩虛一指 and Echoes of Old Battles. Matching the route is safer than matching a literal translation.
Use the final claim step, not just the first location clue.
This is a focused route set, not the complete Mystic Skill catalog. It covers 21 current Global names matched to the original Chinese guide archive plus the current Global Tai Chi tutorial, and cross-checks their names and route summaries against the current Global guide list.
Route 01 · A Bear of a Task Skill Theft tutorial
Tai Chi
太極 / 太极 · also searched as Taiji
Verdant Wilds, Qinghe
1Continue the opening Qinghe story, speak to the Verdant Wilds Wayfarer and track A Bear of a Task.
2Approach the beehive bear, observe it and press the shown input when each Skill Theft ring turns gold.
3Equip the learned Tai Chi skill, aim the spinning bear at the nearby rocks with the camera and let the throw finish automatically.
If it does not trigger: The Wayfarer's 50 Echo Jade choice buys a Wulin Journal, not Tai Chi. If the prompt is absent, finish his conversation and track the bear objective; if casts fail only in co-op, retest an ordinary target in solo.
Stonewash Strand route, ruined house and statue field
1Ask the Verdant Wilds Wayfarer about Jianghu Legacy 03, then track Meridian Touch.
2Follow the Stonewash Strand route to the ruined house among the frozen figures, then inspect the statue-like Yan Qiren in front.
3Use the temporarily granted skill, choose Immobilized or the older Yangbai label, talk to Yan Qiren again, then confirm the Collection says Learned.
If it does not trigger: If the skill disappears, the quest copy was temporary. Finish the follow-up conversation and check Develop > Mystic Skills. Stonewash Strand, Moonveil, and old Huanshi Pu labels can differ; trust the ruined house and frozen crowd. The back-house chest is optional.
1Use the above-ground southwest side of General's Shrine and find Liang Xiaolong copying a toad near the exit.
2Speak to Liang to advance the current Skill Theft: Amazing Toad side story, then target the real toad beside him rather than the posing NPC.
3Press the live platform input when the observation ring turns gold; repeat until the comprehension meter fills and Leaping Toad unlocks automatically.
If it does not trigger: If the entire shrine cast is missing after Blazing Moon, check whether Twisted Destiny is active and clear that encounter first; this recovery is community reported, not an official guarantee. If Liang is present, finish his dialogue and target the animal. Current Global English calls the skill Leaping Toad.
1Approach Qiu Yuehai, the drinking man beside the stairs at Heaven's Pier, and start Foul Play.
2Use the quest interaction to take Hu Wei's Nullifying Pill, then challenge him to the contest.
3After the cheating scene, return to Qiu Yuehai to finish Foul Play and keep Celestial Seize.
If it does not trigger: Target the Nullifying Pill named by the objective, not Hu Wei's money pouch. The permanent skill arrives only after the final conversation with Qiu Yuehai.
1Check the copper bell on the west wall of General's Shrine and the separate bell on the hill directly south; a visible bell with no prompt may already be registered.
2Ring the third bell south of Buddha Fort in northeast Qinghe.
3Ring the bell inside the abandoned Witherwilds residence in your own world if needed; the fourth distinct bell unlocks Lion's Roar automatically.
If it does not trigger: There is no final turn-in. If one bell has no prompt, treat it as a completed candidate and test the other three; if a bell object is missing in co-op, retry the correct landmark in your own solo world.

Forsaken Quarter, southeast Kaifeng
1Walk through the Forsaken Quarter until a pebble-throwing cutscene plays at a house.
2Go behind the house and speak to the unknown NPC through the window.
3Complete Unwanted Hospitality to obtain Ghost Bind.
If it does not trigger: If the house is silent, make sure Kaifeng City and the Forsaken Quarter are accessible, then walk through the lane instead of looking for a chest marker.
1Learn Celestial Seize before going to the temple.
2Set the time between Chen and Wu, then find the young monk Shi Yi in the northeast garden of Grand Imperial Temple.
3Use Celestial Seize while unseen and verify that the Golden Body scroll or learned skill actually appears.
If it does not trigger: If Shi Yi is absent, reset the time to Chen-Wu. If the theft worked but the skill remains locked, check Bag > Develop for the yellow scroll or note and use Cultivate if shown before retrying.
1Find the Honest Merchant at Blissful Retreat; later in the story he moves to Harvestfall Village.
2Buy wine from him and drink it from your inventory.
3Continue until both Wasted and Alcohol Poisoning appear and Drunken Poet unlocks.
If it does not trigger: The result is chance-based and may take several bottles. If the merchant is gone from Blissful Retreat, check Harvestfall Village before assuming the route is unavailable.
1Complete the Bodhi Sea campaign and defeat the normal version of Ye Wanshan to open his Challenge fight.
2Open Campaign Challenge: Bodhi Sea and confirm the eye-shaped familiarity ring appears beside Ye Wanshan's health bar.
3Deflect the signature airborne red plunge until the ring is full, then defeat Ye Wanshan and confirm Flaming Meteor in the collection.
If it does not trigger: No eye icon means the wrong mode. If ordinary red deflects do not move the ring, wait for the airborne plunge with the late red weapon flash; the live ring, not a fixed parry count, proves progress.
1Complete Bodhi Sea and Palace of Annals, reach 6,000 Qinghe Exploration Points, and speak with the Sundara Land Wayfarer.
2Track The Promised Light, place the Light Jade on Buddha's Light Pagoda during the Wu Hour, then use Wind Sense and Meridian Touch through the dungeon.
3Defeat Tian Ying in the story instance, finish the underwater escape, and confirm Yaksha Rush in Mystic Skills.
If it does not trigger: The story quest awards Yaksha Rush. Challenge Tian Ying and the phase-two eye meter are for Free Morph. If the quest is absent, recheck both campaigns, 6,000 Qinghe points, and the Wayfarer conversation.
1Open Develop > Talents > Basic and trace the connected path to the Serene Breeze node.
2Invest at least 12 Talent Points in the Basic tree and keep one usable point available.
3Buy the highlighted Serene Breeze node, then equip the skill from Develop > Mystic Skills.
If it does not trigger: Twelve unspent points are not the requirement. The gate checks points invested along the connected Basic path; Arena and Boss Talents do not count, and the node still needs an available point before it can be purchased.

Develop > Mystic Skills roster
1Open Develop > Mystic Skills and count distinct learned entries rather than ranks, breakthroughs, locked catalog rows, or equipped slots.
2Use short quest, Skill Theft, exploration, Talent, and progression routes to learn any missing Mystic Skills until 35 other skills are owned.
3Reopen the roster for the automatic Dragon Head reward, equip it in an open slot, and check the current 100-Vitality cast requirement.
If it does not trigger: Current Global wording requires 35 other Mystic Arts, not 32 from an old beta video and not 35 upgrades. Dragon Head and Dragon's Breath are separate skills; if Dragon Head is learned but unusable, check the equipment slot and maximum Vitality.
1Complete The Promised Light and the Tian Ying story fight so the Halo Peak Campaign can be replayed.
2Enter the eligible rematch, reach phase two, and verify that the eye-shaped proficiency meter appears beside the boss bar.
3Keep Tian Ying alive, deflect the Free Morph spinning-kick sequence until the meter is full, finish the attempt, and check Mystic Skills.
If it does not trigger: The story clear awards Yaksha Rush, not Free Morph. Phase two plus the eye icon is the eligibility test: if the eye never appears, leave that Trials/Abyss entry and retry through the current Halo Peak campaign or map rematch. Community menu labels vary, so trust the fight state rather than one old button name.

Above the Ghostlight Market entrance, Kaifeng
1Open Ghostlight Market through the Forsaken Quarter Coffin Shop at the Zi Hour and activate its Boundary Stone.
2Stand on the market side of the entrance, face back toward Mask Cave, and climb into the brightly lit cave above the approach.
3Follow the upper passage, open the large chest for Wolflike Frenzy, then verify and equip it from Mystic Skills.
If it does not trigger: Dao Lord is the older approach, not the reward itself. If the upper-passage chest is absent, check whether the skill is already learned, reload the area, and retry the chest interaction; treat the old relog-and-key-spam workaround as historical rather than guaranteed.
1Find the Meow Meow and glowing flower patch west of Crimson Cliffs Lake in Qinghe.
2Collect the fireflies around the flowers until the cumulative total reaches five.
3Open Mystic Skills, equip Glow of Fireflies, and cast it to light dark passages for 30 seconds.
If it does not trigger: The Meow Meow does not reward the skill. Firefly pickups unlock it, and five can be collected across more than one patch or area.
1Reach level 8, then speak to Qiu Yuehai beside the large boulder southeast of Moonveil Peak.
2Use Wind Sense to find the white-beam hiding spot behind the rock and begin observing the martial artist.
3Press yellow or gold circles, ignore grey circles, finish Skill Theft within 60 seconds, then report back.
If it does not trigger: Heaven's Pier Qiu Yuehai starts Foul Play, not this route. Use the Moonveil Peak encounter, hide at the white beam, and do not press grey timing circles.
1On the first floor of Beast Reverie, speak to Kongkong and Lou Jiu to begin the route.
2Find Kongkong near the Patrol and Inspection Agency and use Celestial Seize to take Travelogue: Toehari.
3Return the item to Lou Jiu, then claim the reward from Exploration > Wandering Tales.
If it does not trigger: Celestial Seize is mandatory, and finishing the dialogue is not the last step. Open Wandering Tales and claim the completed route reward.
1Cross the long hanging bridge south of Palace of Annals to the lone pillar rock.
2Climb the first short stairs, turn right, then drop from the western cliff to the lower ledge with the bird nest.
3Use the Feed or Interact prompt at the eggs or chicks and clear Skill Theft as the bird dives and rises.
If it does not trigger: The nest is below the western cliff, not on the pillar summit. If the correct ledge is empty, leave online mode and reload it in your own world; after Skill Theft, equip the learned skill in a slot.
1Ask the Wayfarer of Sundara Lands about Jianghu Legacy 07, then track Where a Thousand Buddhas Wept.
2Meet the Nightdream Monk and complete the shore-coffin, cabin-incense, and cliff-water rituals.
3Carry the lamp through both procession segments, follow the monk through the fire and spirit route, illuminate the tablets, then speak with the rustic monk in reality.
If it does not trigger: The procession starts only after all three rituals and the return to the Nightdream Monk. If it stalls, check the monk conversation and lamp pickup; after the tablets, the rustic monk in reality is the final claim.
1Follow Echoes in the Shrine into the underground area beneath General's Shrine.
2If entering manually, use the loose-rock opening left of the shrine and burn the blocking vines with fire arrows.
3Investigate the corpse at the base of the long stairway to learn Cloud Steps.
If it does not trigger: The scroll is on the corpse before the long staircase, not in the final chest. Search the lower stair landing if the quest has already moved ahead.
1Track Jianghu Legacy 04 in Qinghe and meet Unfated Tian at the deep lake in Moonveil Mountain.
2Drain the lake, solve the N-E-S-W plate puzzle, follow the underwater current, and shoot the four bells in 3-4-1-2 order from left to right.
3Give Unfated Tian the Frost-Laced Box, collect the Moonlit Flower downstairs, and offer that flower to finish Blind to the World and receive Blinding Mist.
If it does not trigger: The three broken letter pieces are optional lore. If the quest does not finish, check the 3-4-1-2 bell order, take the Frost-Laced Box, and offer the Moonlit Flower rather than the Small Blade.
1Enter the ruined fortress near Battlecrest Slope to start Echoes of Old Battles.
2Follow the underground clues and obtain the Warrior's Pledge.
3After learning Touch of Death, approach a weak, unaware enemy from behind to use its contextual strike.
If it does not trigger: Touch of Death is a General passive/context skill, so do not look for it as a normal damage button. The behind-target prompt only appears on eligible enemies.
Owning a scroll and opening a slot are two different unlocks.
Additional Mystic Skill slots are nodes in the Basic Talent tree. Enlightenment earned from quests and chests becomes Talent Points; spend those points through the prerequisite line until the next slot node can be purchased.
The totals at right are the minimum Talent Points needed when following a straight prerequisite line. They are not an extra fee charged after reaching the slot node.
Search Leaping Toad, Cloud Steps, Flaming Meteor, Dragon's Breath, Drunken Poet, Talon Strike, Guardian Palm, or Golden Body before assuming the skill is missing.
2
Check the prerequisite
Celestial Seize must be learned before Golden Body and Dragon's Breath. Serene Breeze needs 12 points in its Basic path, Dragon Head needs 35 other learned skills, and Yaksha Rush needs both Light Jade campaigns, 6,000 Qinghe points, and the Sundara Land Wayfarer.
3
Check the route state
Several unlocks belong to named quests. Track Foul Play, Unwanted Hospitality, Echoes in the Shrine, Echoes of Old Battles, or Where a Thousand Buddhas Wept when available.
4
Check the final claim step
Dragon's Breath still needs the Wandering Tales reward claim. Guardian Palm still needs the rustic monk after the tablets. Boss comprehension needs a full meter and victory, and Skill Theft still needs its timing sequence.
5
Check whether it uses a slot
Touch of Death is contextual. Other combat Mystic Skills use your unlocked slots, which are separate from owning the scroll itself.
Continue the early Qinghe main story into Verdant Wilds and follow A Bear of a Task. Observe the bear reaching for a beehive, complete the gold-ring Skill Theft timing, then use Tai Chi to throw it into the nearby rocks.
Which option do I choose for Yan Qiren and Meridian Touch?
Choose Immobilized in the current English prompt. Older Chinese and acupoint-based guides use Yangbai for the same answer. Speak to Yan Qiren again after the treatment to keep Meridian Touch permanently.
Does Tian Ying give Yaksha Rush or Free Morph?
The Tian Ying story fight at the end of The Promised Light awards Yaksha Rush. Free Morph is the separate Challenge reward learned by deflecting the phase-two spinning kicks until the proficiency meter is full.
Why is the Serene Breeze Talent node still grey?
The node needs at least 12 points invested in the connected Basic Talent path, not 12 unused points or points spent in Arena and Boss Talents. Buy the preceding nodes, then keep one available Talent Point for Serene Breeze itself.
Why did Dragon Head not unlock after 35 upgrades?
Dragon Head requires 35 other distinct Mystic Skills learned. Ranks, breakthroughs, equipped slots, and Dragon Head's own locked catalog entry do not replace a missing learned skill. Old 32-skill videos refer to an earlier test catalog.
Is Golden Toad Leap the same skill as Leaping Toad?
Yes. Golden Toad Leap is a literal translation used by older Chinese-route notes. The current Global English name is Leaping Toad.
Is 百鬼打穴手 Touch of Death in the Global version?
No. 百鬼打穴手 matches Ghost Bind and comes from Unwanted Hospitality in the Forsaken Quarter. Touch of Death matches 淩虛一指 and comes from Echoes of Old Battles near Battlecrest Slope.
Why can I own a Mystic Skill but still not equip it?
Obtaining a skill and opening a Mystic Skill slot are separate. Additional slots come from prerequisite nodes in the Basic Talent tree; the first slot is automatic and the eighth needs a minimum straight-line total of 19 Talent Points.
Why did Ye Wanshan not give me Flaming Meteor?
The normal Bodhi Sea fight only opens the Challenge version. In Challenge mode, deflect the required attacks until the eye meter is full, then defeat Ye Wanshan.
Where did the Honest Merchant go for Drunken Poet?
He begins at Blissful Retreat and later relocates to Harvestfall Village as the story advances. Buy and drink his wine until the required intoxication and illness states appear.
Which unlock is the most useful prerequisite?
Celestial Seize is the practical route key. It is needed for the Golden Body target interaction and the Dragon's Breath item-recovery step, and it is also useful for world-object interactions.
Merchant states can move with story progressBoss comprehension needs Challenge modeSlots and skill ownership are separate
