Reach Ghostlight Market in the Kaifeng City Underground and activate its Boundary Stone. From the market side of the entrance, face back toward Mask Cave and look above the route you used to enter. Climb the cave wall into the brightly lit upper passage, follow it to the large chest, and open the chest for the Wolflike Frenzy scroll. If you are still running the Unbound Cavern campaign, continuing beyond Dao Lord leads toward the same reward corridor.

Progress Chapter 2 until Kaifeng is available and complete New Arrival in Kaifeng. Go to the Coffin Shop in the Forsaken Quarter at night, set the clock to the Zi Hour, and lie in the coffin to reach Mask Cave. Bounty Trouble is an alternate early entry, but it is not required if the normal Kaifeng route is already open.

Activate the Ghostlight Market Boundary Stone
Follow Mask Cave into Ghostlight Market and activate the nearby landmark. This creates a permanent return point, so a missed chest does not require repeating the coffin sequence or replaying the full Unbound Cavern campaign.

Face back toward the entrance instead of entering the market
Stand on the market side of the entrance and turn around toward the tunnel you arrived through. The skill route begins above that approach. Walking deeper past the stalls takes you away from the chest.

Climb into the brightly lit upper cave
Look above the entrance for a lit path in the cave wall, then climb up into it. The vertical turn is the easy-to-miss part: the chest is not sitting beside the Boundary Stone or under the main arch.

Follow the upper passage to the large chest
Continue through the upper corridor until the path reaches the large reward chest. Older Chinese instructions arrive here by defeating the Unbound Cavern guardian and continuing forward; the Ghostlight Market climb reaches the same reward side from the opposite direction.

Open the chest and verify the permanent skill

Confirm Kaifeng and New Arrival in Kaifeng are complete, move the clock to the Zi Hour, and interact with the usable coffin inside the Forsaken Quarter shop. If Bounty Trouble already delivered you to the market, use the Ghostlight Market Boundary Stone instead.

I cannot see the lit cave from the Boundary Stone

Return to the market entrance, stand on the market side, face back toward Mask Cave, and look above the route you entered through. The opening is vertical and easy to miss when the camera stays level or points toward the stalls.

I defeated Dao Lord but never saw the skill

The boss clear and chest claim are separate. Continue beyond the fight if you are still in the campaign, or return later through Ghostlight Market and climb into the upper cave. The skill is awarded by the chest, not by the Dao Lord victory screen.

The upper passage has no chest

First confirm the skill is not already learned and that you followed the upper entrance route rather than another Ghostlight Market tunnel. Leave the area, teleport back, or return to the title screen and reload before checking the final chest spot again.

An old guide says to relog and press the interact key repeatedly

That was a January 2025 CN workaround for an absent chest near the route marker. A normal area reload and a fresh interaction check are reasonable, but the old key-spam sequence is historical evidence, not a guaranteed current Global fix. Use in-game support if the correct unopened chest still fails to appear.

I opened a chest, but Wolflike Frenzy is still locked

Check that it was the large chest at the end of the upper entrance passage, then inspect Develop > Mystic Skills before repeating the route. Ghostlight Market contains many other chests, and none of those substitute for the Wolflike Frenzy scroll chest.

The skill is learned but missing from my combat bar

Select Wolflike Frenzy in Develop > Mystic Skills and assign it to an open slot or replace another equipped skill. Skill ownership and additional Basic Talent slot unlocks are separate progression checks.
