Four-step unlock

Go west of Forsaken Quarter, let the blocked house trigger Unwanted Hospitality, take the narrow lane to the rear window, then use the taught Ghost Bind on the Well of Heaven disciples.

The permanent proof is quest completion plus Ghost Bind in your Mystic Skill collection. Reaching the window alone is not the final unlock.

Unwanted Hospitality

Four steps from the blocked house to the permanent unlock.

Approach the troubled house
Go west of Forsaken Quarter in Kaifeng City. Near Niu Mang's food stall, walk toward the house blocked by Well of Heaven disciples to trigger Unwanted Hospitality.
Checkpoint: A short pebble-throwing scene or the Unwanted Hospitality objective appears.

Take the narrow side passage
Do not fight at the front door yet. Use the tight passage beside the house and continue around to the rear wall.
Checkpoint: You are in the lane behind the building, facing the lattice windows.

Speak through the rear window
Talk to the man asking for help through the window. Continue the dialogue until he teaches Ghost Bind for the escape attempt.
Checkpoint: Ghost Bind is temporarily available for the quest demonstration.

Use Ghost Bind on the disciples
Return to the front and cast the newly taught skill on the Well of Heaven disciples. The quest concludes after the escape scene and Ghost Bind remains unlocked.
Checkpoint: Unwanted Hospitality completes and Ghost Bind appears in the Mystic Skill collection.

Do this next: Enter the lanes west of Forsaken Quarter and walk close to the blocked house instead of searching for a loose scroll marker. If the lane remains silent, confirm Kaifeng access before using the older Wuyou Cave note as a final troubleshooting lead.

The house is blocked at the front

What it means: This is the intended route state, not a combat gate.
Do this next: Leave the front door alone. Take the narrow side passage and continue to the rear wall.

You reached the back but see no interaction

What it means: The target is the occupied lattice window, not a door or roof entrance.
Do this next: Move along the rear wall, face the man through the window, and finish every dialogue line before leaving.

Ghost Bind is taught, but the objective remains

What it means: The temporary skill still needs to be demonstrated on the quest targets.
Do this next: Return to the Well of Heaven disciples outside and use Ghost Bind when the quest interaction is available. Normal attacks and other control skills do not prove this step.

The scene ended, but Ghost Bind looks missing

What it means: The quest can be complete while the skill is not assigned to an active button.
Do this next: Open the Mystic Skill collection, confirm Ghost Bind is learned, then place it in an active slot.

Ghost Bind does not immobilize a boss or player

What it means: The standard control effect excludes powerful enemies and player targets.
Do this next: Test the learned skill on ordinary eligible enemies. A boss resisting the immobilize does not mean the unlock failed.

Troubleshooting and use

Check the quest state before blaming the skill.

The quest marker is missing

Walk close to the blocked house west of Forsaken Quarter until the pebble scene or objective appears. This route begins by proximity, so searching the map for a loose Mystic Skill scroll will not start it.

I cannot reach the man

Use the narrow passage beside the house. The conversation happens through the rear window; the front door is intentionally blocked.

The skill does not finish the objective

Target the Well of Heaven disciples named by the quest and use Ghost Bind after the teaching dialogue. A normal attack or a different control skill does not satisfy the step.

The quest ended, but there is no Ghost Bind button

Check the Mystic Skill collection first. If Ghost Bind is learned, assign it to an active Mystic Skill slot; the quest reward does not need to replace an equipped skill automatically.

An old route says Wuyou Cave is required

The 2024 Chinese route lists a Wuyou Cave clear, but current Global walkthroughs start from the Forsaken Quarter house without presenting it as a universal prerequisite. Try the current trigger first and treat the stronghold clear only as an older-state troubleshooting lead.

An older guide calls this Touch of Death

Search by 百鬼打穴手 or the route name Unwanted Hospitality. In current Global English this skill is Ghost Bind; Touch of Death is a different passive assassination skill.
