Take Zhang Yihao's test instead of returning the stolen jewelry, finish the wealth and co-op requirements, or use the direct invitation. A separate recovery route is available after Nine Mortal Ways.

For Well of Heaven, speak to Zhang Yihao and accept his test: three Ill-Gotten Wealth pieces plus 200 Adventurer Slips. Stealing his jewelry and returning it to the fake Elder sends the shared questline toward Nine Mortal Ways instead.

Direct invitation
Level 10 unlocks Sect clues. Track Well of Heaven and travel to Harvestfall Village in western Qinghe.
Find the waiter inside the village restaurant and pay 200 coins for his information. San Qian does not appear in Online Mode, so change modes before assuming the quest is broken.
The recruiter who sends you after a large pile of jewelry is a Nine Mortal Ways member in disguise. Follow the objective to Zhang Yihao, but do not treat the theft order as your Well of Heaven test.
Tell Zhang Yihao you want Well of Heaven and accept his test. Stealing the jewelry and returning it to the fake Elder is the Nine Mortal Ways branch.
Use Gift of Gab on the fake Elder and San Qian, Celestial Seize from outside their line of sight, or the wine and Black Market Goods fallback listed below.
Co-op leisure activities count, including Madiao, Pitch Pot and wrestling. The three wealth pieces alone do not complete the entry requirement.
Hand in the three Ill-Gotten Wealth pieces after reaching 200 Adventurer Slips. Joining grants the Thundercry Blade Martial Art immediately.
Three Ill-Gotten Wealth pieces are only half of the check. Keep 200 Adventurer Slips ready before returning to Zhang Yihao, or his entry dialogue may appear unchanged.
Closest route
Challenge the fake Elder for two pieces, then San Qian for the third. The fake Elder has two challenge attempts per day; a failed day means waiting for reset or changing methods.
Low-travel route
Celestial Seize works on the fake Elder and San Qian. Stay outside the target's line of sight and cast from a safe distance to improve the attempt.
RNG fallback
Buy wine from a vendor such as Hao Jiu in Blissful Retreat. Drinking can produce Black Market Goods that contain Ill-Gotten Wealth, but repeated drinking can add health debuffs.
Original route landmark
The original 天泉 route records Fulu Shou inside Jiangjun Shrine with two wealth pieces. Use Wind Sense to confirm the current interaction because NPC availability can follow quest state.
Only one Sect can be active. Complete its leaving flow, then return to Zhang Yihao to start the Well of Heaven recovery route.
Find Mei Chuanyi on top of a tree, defeat the three geese below, then give him the requested coins.
He lies beside a cooking hearth near the sea. Cook the recipe he gives you, hand over the dish, then pay the requested coins.
Place the nearby explosives against the rocks, ignite them with a fire arrow, then speak to Long Zai and give him the requested coins.
Search west of the tree in the objective area. Follow the tracks, defeat the Nine Mortal Ways impostor, pick up the greasy pouch and speak to the real Chengshi.
Hold three pieces of Ill-Gotten Wealth and earn 200 Adventurer Slips. The recovery story does not replace those two requirements.
Ask to join Well of Heaven and hand over the wealth pieces. The completed requirements unlock the Sect and Thundercry Blade.
Switch from Online Mode to Solo Mode, track the Well of Heaven clue, then reload the Harvestfall Village restaurant area.
You followed the theft branch and returned the jewelry to the fake Elder. Leave Nine Mortal Ways, return to Zhang Yihao and use the victim-help recovery route.
The entry check also requires 200 Adventurer Slips. Open Sect, choose Join Sect, inspect Well of Heaven Entry Requirements, and finish the missing co-op total.
The fake Elder allows two challenges per day. Wait for the daily reset or switch to Celestial Seize, wine and Black Market Goods, or another Wind Sense target.
Use the standard Zhang Yihao clue route instead. If you already joined Nine Mortal Ways, leave it and use the dedicated recovery route.
Confirm you bought all ten Morale Chant pages for the full 5,000 Echo Jade total, then check letters and the invitation state. If the purchase happened long ago, use Zhang Yihao rather than buying unrelated items.
Leave any active Sect, hold all three wealth pieces, reach 200 Adventurer Slips and re-open Well of Heaven Entry Requirements. One missing gate can leave his dialogue unchanged.
Questline order matters
The current route warns that joining here first removes the fake-Elder Nine Mortal Ways option and can block Art of Resistance from that branch. Finish Nine Mortal Ways first if you want that route unlock.
Weekly Sect value
Co-op challenges and leisure activities build the weekly total. This is a good fit for players who already enjoy social activities and group play.
Immediate Martial Art
The heavy blade Martial Art unlocks on joining. You do not need to wait for a later rank before using the Sect's signature weapon style.
Leaving has a trial
Betray Master starts the Well of Heaven Severance Trial. You may join another Sect during it, but the trial remains until one Perception Forest match is completed.
