Where Winds Meet Lion's Roar: All 4 Bell Locations

Lion's Roar is not a quest chain. It is a four-state exploration check: two bells around General's Shrine, one south of Buddha Fort, and one inside a Witherwilds residence. This thread helps you find the bell that has not registered.

Four distinct registration points

Ring the west-wall and south-hill bells at General's Shrine, the bell south of Buddha Fort, and the bell inside the abandoned Witherwilds residence.

Order does not matter. After the fourth distinct bell registers, Lion's Roar is added automatically. There is no final NPC, quest hand-in, or fifth bell.

A simple clean sweep is the two General's Shrine bells first, Buddha Fort in northeast Qinghe second, and Witherwilds in southwest Qinghe last. If you already explored the region, use the prompt state at each bell as your evidence instead of trying to remember which one made a sound weeks ago.

    General's Shrine west-wall bell

    Central Qinghe

    Travel to General's Shrine and walk around the outside of its west wall. Look for the giant mounted copper bell rather than a small decorative chime.

    Registration clue: A fresh bell shows the local charge/attack interaction. After it registers, the prompt can disappear.

    Common mix-up: This is not the second shrine bell on the nearby southern hill.

    Hill south of General's Shrine

    Central Qinghe

    Leave the shrine toward the south and climb the nearby hill. The bell is on the hilltop, separate from the shrine wall.

    Registration clue: You should be looking down toward the shrine area rather than standing against its west wall.

    Common mix-up: Players often revisit bell 01 and count it twice instead of climbing to this second landmark.

    South of Buddha Fort

    Northeast Qinghe

    Use Buddha Fort as the anchor, then search directly south of the fort landmark. The route bell is outside the core fort footprint.

    Registration clue: The bell is the large world-interaction object south of the outpost, not a bell inside an unrelated quest or cave.

    Common mix-up: Older notes may use Foye Fort or the wider 善妙洲 regional label.

    Abandoned residence in Witherwilds

    Southwest Qinghe

    Go to Witherwilds on the Moonveil Mountain side and search inside the abandoned residence. Older routes may describe the Wraith Village or ruined-temple side of the area.

    Registration clue: If this is your fourth distinct registered bell, Lion's Roar is added automatically. There is no final NPC.

    Common mix-up: If the expected bell is absent, first confirm the building, then retry in your own solo world.

The first bell has no prompt

Do not assume the route is blocked. A no-prompt bell is often the one you already rang earlier while exploring. Write down the west-wall bell as a completed candidate and test the south-hill, Buddha Fort, and Witherwilds bells. If one of those still offers the interaction, your route can continue.

I can only find one bell around General's Shrine

The two shrine bells are different objects. One is mounted by the shrine's west wall; the other is on top of the hill directly south of the shrine. Walk away from the building and gain elevation for the second one.

There is no bell inside Buddha Fort

Search south of the Buddha Fort landmark, not only inside the outpost. The current route description uses the fort as a navigation anchor; the bell itself is outside the core fort area.

The Witherwilds bell is missing

Confirm that you entered the abandoned residence rather than another ruin in the same area. If the building is correct and the bell object is absent, leave a host or guest session and reload the location in your own solo world.

The four bells from Blind to the World did not count

Those are a separate ordered puzzle inside Jianghu Legacy 04. Shooting its 3-4-1-2 bell sequence progresses Blind to the World and Blinding Mist; it does not replace any Lion's Roar world bell.

The bell guide tells me to hold a key I do not have

Control labels differ by platform and layout. Move around the bell until your own client displays the contextual charge/attack action, then use that shown control. The route requirement is the registered interaction, not a universal keyboard key.

All four bells seem complete but the skill is absent

Check the collection first because there is no final quest popup to chase. If it is still locked, return to each named landmark and look for whichever bell still shows a fresh prompt. Ordinary bells and repeated route bells do not fill a missing slot.

The skill is in the collection but I cannot cast it

Equip it in a Mystic Skill slot. If no slot is available, use the slot guide to separate collection ownership, unlocked slot count, and the current loadout.

This route intentionally does not publish invented pixel coordinates. The four landmarks are current enough to navigate, while exact pins and interaction wording remain held until captured in the live Global client.

The broad repeated roar is easiest to justify when several eligible enemies are close enough for the area pressure and knockback to matter.

Keep it when area control, defensive casting, or Toad Venom follow-up solves a real problem. Do not treat one static tier list as a permanent answer.

Faith Against Odds uses Lion's Roar later, but current quest references also point to the Buddha Fort Outpost clear and a time/trigger state. If that quest is missing, stop repeating the four bells and inspect the outpost and journal conditions instead.

Do the Blind to the World puzzle bells count?

No. Their ordered 3-4-1-2 sequence belongs to Jianghu Legacy 04 and the Blinding Mist reward, not the Lion's Roar proficiency route.

Is there a final quest or NPC after the fourth bell?

No. Lion's Roar is granted automatically after the fourth distinct bell registers. Check the Mystic Skill collection rather than waiting for a turn-in quest.

Why is Lion's Roar learned but not on my combat controls?

Learning the skill does not automatically equip it. Put Lion's Roar in an available Mystic Skill loadout slot.

Is Shihou Zhengsheng the same as Lion's Roar?

Yes. Shihou Zhengsheng is a romanization of 獅吼正聲; Lion's Roar is the current Global English name.

Does Lion's Roar work with Leaping Toad?

Yes. It can detonate and spread Leaping Toad's Toad Venom. Exact damage and poison values should be read from the current client.

Does unlocking Lion's Roar start Faith Against Odds?

Not by itself. Lion's Roar is a prerequisite, but the Buddha Fort Outpost clear and the later quest's time or trigger conditions can also matter.
